This 1-day course is designed for people at any level, in any industry/sector, that require an understanding of the essential elements of Health and Safety.
Ideal for introducing staff to why Health and Safety is important, Working Safely shows how everyone can make a difference to their own wellbeing and that of others through every-day behaviour.
The course focuses on best practice rather than legislation.
Through attending this course, individuals will have an understanding of their responsibilities by covering the following modules of the course:
Understand the consequences of failing to follow Health and Safety requirements.
Recognise the importance of integrating health and safety with other business requirements to minimise the overall risk.
Be able to take into account Health and Safety aspects when completing work activities.
Giving individuals the health and safety tools and knowledge they need to comply with their legal responsibilities.
Promotes employee engagement and awareness of Health and Safety issues.
Nationally recognised, certificated training which is flexible and can be built around organisations’ requirements and timeframes. This course meets the UK government guidelines for introductory Health and Safety training.
At the end of the training, individuals sit a closed book assessment in which they complete both a multiple choice assessment paper and 3 hazard-spotting assessment papers.
Individuals must achieve at least 50% in both assessments to gain certification. Upon successful completion, an IOSH Working Safely certificate will be issued.
All training materials associated with this course have been externally approved and accredited by the Institution of Occupational Safety Health (IOSH) – the world’s largest health and safety professional membership organisation.
